This is a great scarp fabric buster project!
Methods use: usual piecing & appliqué
In the seam zip at the bottom - instructions included for the zip.
Material requirements - estimates:
34 x 5” long scrap quilt fabrics or a 5” charm pack
1 x 20” (50cm) square of background fabric
1 x 7” square of fabric for the centre circle (OPTIONAL)
1 x 20” (50cm) square of fabric for the back
2 x 20” (50cm) calico/muslin lining fabric squares
20” (50cm) Wadding/batting square (any type)
20” to 22” (50-55cm) long nylon zip
A piece of template plastic (2½ by 5”)
Cotton sewing thread to match fabric choice
Perlé cotton thread #12 or #16 for hand quilting
18” (45cm) filler pad or slightly larger for a really plump look.
The usual helpful tools;
Cutting mat, rotary cutter and a 24” (60cm) long quilt ruler for squaring up.
